Life was not easy for Prerna Pawar, who lost her father at a young age. In 1992, her maternal uncle ensured she and her brother received care, protection, and education at Bal Kalyan Nagari, Mankhurd.
Prerna studied at CAS Secondary School and later pursued ITI while staying at the institution. She worked in the construction sector for seven years before following her passion for social work. With determination, she earned a degree in Arts and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University.
Today, Prerna serves as a social worker at ‘Sukhshanti’, dedicated to helping others. She remains closely connected to Bal Kalyan Nagari, giving back to the place that once gave her hope.
